In keeping with its mission of protecting the public, ACMA supports government initiatives in the area of public health.

Out of respect for best practices in terms of free and informed consent, ACMA recommends that its members disclose their vaccination status to their patients, who inquire about it. While this cannot be legally required of members – as medical information is confidential – ACMA believes that, in order to maintain the bond of trust between patients and members, it is preferable to disclose one’s immunization status.

Finally, the ACMA recalls that vaccination is outside the scope of practice of its members. In the event that a patient wishes to obtain more information on vaccination, ACMA members should refer their patients to qualified health professionals and / or official sources.

The ACMA wishes to reiterate that it expresses its full confidence in Public Health and the government in the implementation of measures deemed necessary to limit the spread of the virus, such as wearing a mask and vaccination, and that it is taking action. and act in accordance with government recommendations.
